All our exposed aggregate, honed aggregate, and liquid limestone mixes are premixed in batches at concrete Batching plants located in Western Australia. These premixed materials are highly customisable, which means we’re able to create the optimal colour, texture, and design for your property.
Day 1
Preparation – We clear the area, remove any existing surfaces, then prepare the base for pouring spending time compacting, levelling and dampening the soil making Allowances for drainage and ensuring Australian Standards are met.
Pouring and Leveling your concrete – The ready-mix concrete must be poured quickly to avoid drying, it is screeded (levelled), Bull floated, hand floated then bull floated again making the surface as flat and smooth as possible, getting rid of any rocks, holes or inconsistencies. This process is repeated numerous times to make the surface as smooth as possible
Spray on Surface retarder– we spray a surface retarder & cover with plastic to keep the surface wet while the centre dries and hardens
Day 2
Clean Up & Seal – Once the surface has set We return to inspect and clean the new surface. Concrete and aggregate surfaces have control lines cut to help prevent cracks. We then Seal the surface. This protects and helps to makes it more durable by weatherproofing against Perth’s harsh weather conditions.
Additional Info:
Liquid Limestone – We are able to cut patterns into your new liquid limestone surface, either for decorative purposes or to replicate the look and style of individual pavers, we may do this on the first day, before the surface is completely set, or the next day.
Concrete or the aggregates cannot have patterns, only control lines to avoid cracking.
Drying Times This varies depending on the Material used.
Liquid Limestone can be sealed Next Day
Exposed aggregate takes 3 – 7 days as it needs extra time to cure, We return to Acid wash and apply Sealant
Honed aggregate is Honed the next day then we return 1-2 days later to seal.
